Synopsis: 

State of Colima, west of Mexico. To the feet of the Volcano of Fire, under the pretext of danger, the people of the community La Yerbabuena were removed to increase the tourist business in the zone. In spite of the pressures, some families decided to stay in their lands and resist whith the support of the Zapatistas and other peoples.

"La Yerbabuena, community in resistance" is part of the series "Native Voices from the Northwestern Mexico".

This series of ten documentaries visit to indigenous peoples, peasant and fishermen communities in northwestern Mexico, discovering the everyday life of its characters and the situations they face in order to keep their land and identity.
